Gender Mainstreaming Oil and Natural Gas in Lebanon”, is a one of its kind organizational research study concerning gender,

youth, inclusion, social inequality and good governance in the Extractive Industries (EI) sector – rethinking workplace diversity management in Lebanon and in the MENA region.

The overall objective of this Media Monitoring summary report is to understand and analyze qualitatively how news reports in Arabic digital media are portraying stories related to internal security including feature articles or opinion pieces related to keeping peace and stability within Lebanon, articles which cover threats to national security, the humanitarian, economic and political crisis.

We developed these innovative fact sheets and wrote them with an intersectional approach in mind. They are gender mainstreamed and based on actual empirical research carried out by the GCGM studies unit surveying the world we study and work in. We encourage its use when debating and dealing with sectarianism and co-existence. The net result will be to move away from the current vicious cycle which is feeding sectarianism and destroying Lebanon. We will present several examples of virtuous cycles which promote coexistence and illustrate paths to save the country. Each fact sheet has an educational video to facilitate the learning experience.
